Sleep is crucial. But you knew that already, didn’t you? Many of us have experienced the common symptoms of not getting a good night’s rest. Being irritable all day and feeling like you could actually kill someone aren’t fun feelings. But those are some of the normal effects of not getting enough sleep. Don’t let lack of sleep ruin your day…and night. Here are few reasons why you might not be getting the sleep you deserve, and what you should do to make sure you are:
You’re Sleeping In Too Much
If you spend a few days working late (or partying…for all you college kids) and then proceed to sleep in way past your usual wake up time, that’s going to make it hard for you to get a good night’s rest. Your internal clock will get altered, and you definitely don’t want that. Sleeping in a few hours later than usual and then trying to go to sleep later that night will be almost impossible. Don’t let sleep control you. Even if you’re out half the night, don’t sleep in for hours longer than you typically would the next morning.
