Not a lot of people think long distance relationships can work. Don’t get me wrong, dating someone who lives far away isn’t an ideal situation, but that doesn’t mean it always has to end in heartbreak. While you might know a few couples who were unsuccessful in their long-distance relationship, you probably know a few who made it work (and if you don’t, trust me when I say they’re out there!).
Relationships, in general, can be tricky but long-distance relationships are typically a little trickier. Don’t let that stray you from trying one, though. If you think you’ve met your forever person, nothing (not even distance) should get between you.

Create A Timeline For The Future
In order for a long-distance relationship to be successful, you both need to have an idea of when the distance will end. If there’s no end in sight, it’s going to be hard to justify all the obstacles that go along with keeping a long-distance relationship moving. Unfortunately, not all couples know exactly when they’ll be able to live in the same place. I’m not saying you have to have an exact date in mind but an idea will definitely help you both feel better about the situation.
