It’s the last thing you look at before you go to bed and the first thing you grab in the morning. Your phone is pretty much your baby — except it doesn’t cry and you can leave it unattended (without severe consequences).
It’s no wonder you’re obsessed with your smartphone. Pretty much all of us are. And even though constantly being on your phone is pretty much a social norm, being addicted to an electronic isn’t a good thing. But it’s something a lot of us experience. Here are some signs you’re addicted to your phone and what to do about it:
You Constantly Check Your Phone
And for no reason! It’s not like you’re expecting a call or an email. You check your phone without even thinking about it, almost like a reflex. When you’re standing in line at Starbucks, you check your phone. When you’re working out at the gym, you check your phone. When you’re just sitting at home doing nothing, you check your phone. It’s a habit…a bad one.
Solution: Get Rid Of Your Favorite Apps
We all have a few apps we’re addicted to, and I’m not saying you need to delete ALL of your favorite apps. After all, what’s a phone without Twitter, Snapchat, Daily Mail, and Instagram? Keep one or two of your favorite apps, but delete the rest so you can shorten the length of time you spend on your phone. Don’t worry though; your apps aren’t gone forever. You can always pull them up on your laptop.
